I don't know why they want to call it Singapore bee hoon. In KL, Jalan Alor, it's called Sin Chew bee hoon. The normal economy char been hoon is fried with dark soy sauce and soy sauce only. Once you add ketchup, the price took a huge leap upwards and never find it's way down. Vermicelli fried with ketchup is.... from Singapore? Why? I don't know but I just know that hubby make really nice fried vermicelli. I don't know how to fry vermicelli. No such skill. I'm not feeling well and I have exactly 4.5 hours of work before I can hang my legs up.
